  • Over 70 community members gathered Monday night to celebrate Dia de los Reyes at an event hosted by Ballet Folklorico Heritage in Rexburg, which featured traditional dances, crown making, and balloon wishes + a taste of Kings’ Bread from Trigo Bakery that highlighted Hispanic traditions.  East Idaho News
  • Bailie Bramwell, a War Bonnet holder who served as a rodeo queen for 17 years, will compete in Miss Rodeo USA as her final appearance in a pageant, marking the end of an era in local rodeo history (her swansong).  The Jefferson Star

ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA Idaho reported that regular gas in Rexburg is $2.81 per gallon—a 27-cent drop from a year ago—and lower prices extend statewide as crude oil nears $56 per barrel. Drivers may use fuel rewards for additional savings.  East Idaho News

  • Rexburg-based Upper Valley SAFE Initiative, a volunteer group of parents+community professionals, will host a free Family Protection Through Digital Safety workshop on Monday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall to teach parents online safety skills.  Local News 8
