- ➤ On Wednesday, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered a truckload of food supplies to the Upper Valley Food Bank at 275 Stationery Place in Rexburg as part of its America250 effort to send 250 loads nationwide in 2025–2026 (each truck carries about 40,000 lbs of essential items). East Idaho News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Dozens of new businesses now operate in a commercial strip off U.S. Highway 20 in Thornton, where 27 tenants occupy four buildings at Thunderbird Business Park — a site developed by Trellis Development and located between Rigby and Rexburg. More buildings and a gas station are planned in the coming years. East Idaho News

- ➤ The Rigby FFA chapter won first place in the horse judging contest at the Western National Roundup on Jan. 9–10, held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show. The win marks a significant achievement for the students. The Jefferson Star
- ➤ Jefferson Joint School District #251 is considering a four-day school week to boost low Friday attendance; administrators and Board Trustees will decide on potential changes soon at local schools. The Jefferson Star
