CULTURE NEWS

  • The 'Still Playing in Mud' exhibit featuring ceramics and sculptures by retired BYU-Idaho art professor Matthew Geddes opened Jan. 15 at Spori Art Gallery and will run until Feb. 20 — giving visitors a chance to see his recent work.  BYU-Idaho Scroll

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Rexburg acquired The Neutral Zone, an indoor ice rink near Rexburg Rapids, after four months of independent operation and will take over on Feb 1. The facility will host its grand opening week of President’s Day with discount activities, food & music.  BYU-Idaho Scroll

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • City planners will remove houses near West First South and South First West — set to create higher-density student housing — as rising BYUI enrollment drives development. Construction will begin in the spring while additional projects are discussed.  BYU-Idaho Scroll
