➤ The popular food truck Taqueria El Pollo Loco Jr. is opening its permanent storefront on March 1 at 248 South Second Street next to Taco Time. Owner Jose Perez said the restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday (family recipes are featured). East Idaho News

EDUCATION NEWS

➤ BYUI students stay active this winter by doing home workouts, gym classes, and outdoor activities like snowshoeing at Riverside Park parkrun. The poll shows that many prefer indoor exercise to avoid the cold while others embrace the snow for fitness. BYU-Idaho Scroll

HEALTH NEWS

➤ Mountain Peak Pediatrics, owned by Idaho Falls Pediatrics, opened a new clinic in early January at 1236 Bond Avenue (Suite B) to bring pediatric care closer to Rexburg families and spare them long drives to Idaho Falls. Dr. Elias Lines said the clinic treats patients from newborns to 18-year-olds and plans to grow. East Idaho News
