  • Eddie Grampp, 41, died peacefully at his home on Sunday in Rexburg after a 13-year battle with an incurable brain tumor, leaving behind two sons and a daughter while funeral details are still being planned.  East Idaho News

  • Elder Jorge M. Alvarado spoke today at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, sharing his lifelong commitment to the church and urging students to make their homes like temples.   • On March 24th, the Weatherston siblings—the 100-year-old Ralph, 98-year-old Carma, 93-year-old Geneal and 90-year-old Leon—spoke with EastIdahoNews.com about their lives, recalling their early years in Plano near Rexburg, graduating from Madison High and memories of the Teton Dam breaking. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho Legislature passed a bill to allow the death penalty for adults who sexually abuse children 12 and younger. The bill now goes to Governor Brad Little — who has five days to decide whether to sign it, let it become law without his signature, or veto it, with the law set to take effect on July 1 if approved.  East Idaho News

  • Lawn care experts in Rexburg say melting snow has left dry grass and piled leaves that cause mold—residents are advised to rake their lawns to improve air flow and absorb nutrients.
