  • Dacia Alba opened Bargain Treasure Bins at 240 Dividend Drive in November to offer Rexburg customers discounted overstock items from Amazon and Target. The store sells new products from semi-truck pallets with prices dropping from $10 to $1 by Friday—Alba works full-time as an escrow officer and employs local high school and college students.  East Idaho News

CRIME NEWS

  • Kris Bird, one of two Eastern Idaho natives federally indicted in 2023 on bid-rigging charges, pleaded guilty—changing his plea from not guilty—at a court hearing.  The Jefferson Star

SPORTS NEWS

  • Madison High School wrestler Rex Salas won the 6A state wrestling championship on March 1st by not allowing a single point and nearly finishing his season undefeated—he has signed with Idaho State to play football and will move to Pocatello after graduation. Salas, 18, now looks forward to his next chapter as he transitions from wrestling to football.  East Idaho News
