- ➤ On Monday, a downed power line sparked a massive haystack fire in Hamer near Camas National Wildlife Refuge (11,000 acres), and 11 agencies worked through the night to contain high winds that spread the blaze while one calf died when a burning straw stack collapsed. Local News 8

- ➤ Elder José A. Teixeira of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak to 3,989 graduates at BYU-Idaho’s Winter Semester Commencement on Friday, April 10 at 12:45 p.m. The event will award 2,313 bachelor’s and 1,676 associate degrees. East Idaho News
