Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 20th of April.
Good morning, Rexburg.
🎓 Education
BYU-Idaho student Lynn Hall, who has played trumpet since age 11, created the Brass Society so that music majors and other students can share their love for brass instruments and get help managing performance stress—for finals.
The group also planned student trips to musical events to deepen members’ understanding of music history and enjoy live performances.
🌲 Environment
On April 19 at 5:00 p.m., two male hooded mergansers battled near the willows on Warm Slough west of Rexburg when one grabbed the other underwater over a female and later captured a large crayfish by striking it repeatedly with his bill (as a local observer noted).
This intense display highlighted the competitive behavior of these waterfowl in the area.
