GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Rexburg issued a boil order Tuesday evening after crews discovered a ruptured water line near the Rexburg Temple—affecting BYUI Student Housing, The Ridge, Legacy Ridge and University View—and estimated repairs would take 8 hours due to low water pressure. A gas line in the area was also damaged earlier that evening, and the order was set to be lifted once water safety tests confirmed the supply was safe, likely by Wednesday afternoon. BYU-Idaho Scroll
- ➤ Madison County Sheriff’s Office now patrols with its five new Tahoe cars (from Taylor Chevrolet in Rexburg) as they replace older silver models. The upgraded black vehicles feature synchronized lights that deputies say will improve visibility on the road, according to Chief Deputy Vince Kaaiakamanu. Local News 8
