Last week, the chamber hosted its 86th Annual Farmer Merchant Banquet that celebrated local farmers and merchants—continuing a longstanding tradition of community recognition.

A BYU-Idaho student was seriously injured on Wednesday morning when iron beams fell on him while on campus — he was rushed to EIRMC for treatment.

David Hale is the oldest of three with a rare heart condition and has had more than 20 surgeries including a 12-hour operation; he no longer needs a feeding tube, works at Albertsons, studies at BYU—Idaho, and is set to serve a mission.
