  • Homestead Senior Living treated its residents to a Taste of Rexburg Tour that visited local eateries — Teton Sourdough, Fixxology, Java Express, Righteous Slice, and Crumbl Cookie — to celebrate the local food scene.   • Rexburg’s Friday night Farmers Market returns on May 9 at the Madison County Fairgrounds with 10 new vendors offering local food, crafts, and entertainment every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day—with early closures on Sept 12 and 26 and a special Carousel Kick-Off event on May 30 at Porter Park.  East Idaho News

  • Gas prices in Idaho fell on Monday as crude oil dropped to levels not seen since February 2021—Rexburg's average was $3.29, about one penny less than last week. AAA Idaho said lower crude prices may bring more savings at the pump even as fuel demand rises ahead of Memorial Day.  East Idaho News

  • Professor Grover Wray — who has taught social work at BYU-Idaho since 1999 — will retire in December after 26 years of service. He said he grew into his role after hard times and built strong bonds with his students.  BYU-Idaho Scroll
  • BYU-Idaho Outdoor Activities Program will host a caving trip to the Civil Defense Caves in St. Anthony on Wednesday, May 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.—students pay $5 to cover transportation, instruction, and gear for a safe and beginner-friendly exploration of a spacious lava tube.  BYU-Idaho Scroll
