- ➤ BYUI professor Mike Christopherson hosts his 'Education of the Heart' podcast to show students how to learn by moving knowledge from their heads to their hearts — he records unedited episodes at the end of each semester in his office. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Madison Library District trustee seats A and B — where incumbent Tony Derricott faces challenger Maggie Clarke and incumbent Kristine Ballard faces Ethan Sanford — will be contested on May 20. - ➤ Several District 5-6 softball teams began their state championships with mercy rule wins on Thursday. The Pocatello Thunder defeated the Jerome Tigers 12-0 and the Malad Dragons beat Firth 14-4, while the Highland Rams, Teton Timberwolves and North Fremont Huskies also won and will meet opponents Friday for championship and consolation spots.
