ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Fremont County deputies responded at 2:28 p.m. Saturday to a UTV accident at St. Anthony Sand Dunes where 60-year-old Kenneth Spomer (from Corinne) died from blunt force trauma after the RZR flipped and he was not wearing a seatbelt.  KSL

CRIME NEWS

  • Officers responded Tuesday morning to a death at Madison Armory at 870 North 2nd East and are investigating the case as a suicide—witnesses noted a large police presence and that the business was closed.  East Idaho News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • BYUI will review 47 majors for restructure, consolidation or discontinuation—President Meredith announced the program review to better align offerings with student interest with details set to be released on June 1. The review will run through July followed by faculty collaboration through October and decisions in November and December with changes starting in 2026—.  BYU-Idaho Scroll
