- ➤ Turista opened its international-style bowl restaurant in the Crossroads on May 22, making it the first IBC food company in 12 years. - ➤ Showcase Interiors at 1373 South Railroad Avenue in Rexburg is celebrating 50 years in business this year. Founded by Blair Rigby as a college student in 1975 and later rebuilt after a severe flood in 1976, the company is now led by Patrick Bjornn who bought it in 2020. East Idaho News

- ➤ Sixteen jurors were selected for Lori Vallow Daybell's murder conspiracy trial on Wednesday—opening statements are scheduled to begin Thursday morning as she faces charges for the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux. Local News 8

- ➤ Two BYU-Idaho students have been nominated for a national student production award similar to the Emmys through the NATAS Student Production Awards. Tim Boyce said his project 'Gathering at Devotion' shows busy student life and time for breaks — a group effort that honors his love for BYUI — and he feels proud of the nomination. Local News 8
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ BYU-Idaho nursing students Emma Shugart, Alex Cox, McKenna Willey and Mya Mapel lead a cancer awareness campaign to promote early screenings and new oncology services at Madisonhealth Cancer Care Center at Madison Memorial Hospital. They will place donation bins on BYUI campus, assemble cancer care kits from donated items and host a booth at the Whoopee Days Rodeo on June 28 to help Rexburg residents get local cancer care.
