- ➤ BYUI will host a free Step Into Summer event on June 13 in the stadium parking lot from 8-11 p.m. where attendees can enjoy live music—nine square, cornhole, spike ball, crafts, caricature art, T-shirt design and face painting—and free food as a kickoff to summer on campus. BYU-Idaho Scroll
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A derailed train near Chester blocked traffic at the 2900 East and Highway 20 intersection—officials reported no injuries and urged drivers to use an alternate route as the road remains closed indefinitely. BYU-Idaho Scroll
- ➤ The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports a train derailed at 2900 E. and U.S. Highway 20—near Chester, and local crews are assessing the scene. Rexburg Standard Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ BYU-Idaho’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella opened on June 10 and is scheduled to run on June 14, 17, 18, 20 and 21 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Student tickets cost $5 and community tickets cost $8 while children aged 5 and older may attend the 2:00 p.m. shows and those aged 6 and older may join the 7:30 p.m. shows—audience members should arrive ten minutes early for seating.
