Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 13th of July.
Good morning, Rexburg.
🎓 Education
BYUI-approved student housing for females is completely full for Fall with all beds taken by the end of June while the final 500 male beds are expected to fill within the next month, leaving some students without a contract.
The Housing Department is working with housing complexes and community partners to expand options—such as free contract cancellations until July 13—and is offering campus experience packages for students living with family in Rexburg.
🌲 Environment
Local anglers have observed a family of bald eagles on Ririe Reservoir since early June—an immature female was seen drying her wings near a swallow colony while the male captured fish for the eaglets.
Observers noted that the young eagles are growing quickly and expect more activity as kokanee begin spawning soon.
