The Nook and Cranny, Rigby's newest bookstore cafe, celebrated its grand opening on Aug.
17 when the Rigby Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event introduced a new local spot for book lovers.
On Monday, Aug. 17, Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership held a diaper distribution at 275 Stationary Place after receiving $88,630 through the Church's Giving Machines - $20,000 of which went to diapers for more than 300 children; another distribution is planned for September.

According to AAA, Monday's average price for regular gasoline in Idaho was $4.42, up 7 cents from last week and 91 cents higher than a year ago.
Rexburg pump prices reached $4.38 amid an uncertain oil market + upcoming seasonal fuel shifts.

Ammon Harding drove from Rexburg to fight Saturday night at Fort Hall where he won a championship belt by unanimous decision against John Novak-Jarvis.
Harding said his training at Lionheart MMA eases his daily frustrations on the drive home — his favorite part of the day.
