- ➤ Fire crews are responding to an active fire off North Hatchery Butte Road near Harriman in Fremont County. North Hatchery Butte Road is closed to non-emergency vehicles while smoke is visible from Mesa Falls and Highway 47. Local News 8
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sen. Kevin Cook spoke Tuesday morning at Rexburg’s Romance Theater about new water storage projects to keep more water in Idaho as the state faces growing irrigation needs and a declining aquifer. He outlined studies of six potential dam sites—one of which is the Teton Dam—and launched a petition to collect 67,000 signatures so he can deliver it to Washington this fall. East Idaho News
