- ➤ Many users reported that EastIdahoNews.com showed full-page fake virus checker pop-ups from malware in third-party ads when using the Facebook app. The news site said it is working with its ad partners—especially those affecting mobile users—to stop scammers and fix the problem. East Idaho News
- ➤ Grand Teton Energy Systems, a Rexburg company that makes lithium ion batteries for over 200 commercial clients, will relocate from its 12,000-square-foot facility to the former Nelson-Ricks Creamery in Sugar City next year—this move will allow expansion into a space up to 40,000 square feet after a renovation project. East Idaho News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday at 11 p.m.—Bingham County Sheriff’s deputies and other agencies responded near 1100 East and 1300 North after a homeowner reported shots fired when a suspect tried to take a 4-wheeler—and officers later located the suspect in a field and fired shots that resulted in his death while the homeowner was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
