- ➤ Kenya Wilson, a 31-year-old mother from Rexburg, died unexpectedly on Sept. 17 from liver complications after being treated at Idaho Falls Community Hospital—she is survived by her nine-year-old daughter Jade and grieving mother Carrie. East Idaho News

- ➤ Rexburg Clothing Outlet opened today and will be open six days a week — local shoppers now have a new place to find affordable styles. Rexburg Standard Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Rexburg Community Theatre will host auditions at the VFW on Saturday for three plays — local performers hoping to return to the stage should attend for a chance to join new productions. Rexburg Standard Journal
- ➤ Wings of Song Choir, founded by Ben Watson of the Rexburg Children’s Choir, will make its debut at Madison Performing Arts Center on Dec. 15 when it performs with Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four as part of the Joy to the World Christmas tour. East Idaho News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho enacted House Bill 182—called the Report and Hold law—to protect seniors and vulnerable individuals from financial fraud and exploitation. The law will strengthen safeguards to reduce abuse and support financial security for those at risk. Rexburg Standard Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Local mental health advocates will hold the Lights on the Lake lantern release event this Saturday, Sept. 27 at Jefferson County Lake to raise funds for therapy access and break the stigma around suicide—check-in starts at 5:30 p.m. and the event features lantern decorating, games, and a sound bath by Drummer Girl Jessica Maddock.
