Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 15th of October.
Good morning, Rexburg.
🎭 Culture
A hands-on Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Snake River Homestead (east of I-15 Exit 108), where Rexburg’s mountain man, Adam Finehouse, will share Idaho’s history with interactive displays.
Families are invited to explore local culture and participate in demonstrations.
📰 Economy
Idaho gas prices are slowly falling below the $5 mark, with today's average at $4.87 (AAA reports) down seven cents from last week yet still above last year's rate; some counties remain above $5 and rising crude oil prices suggest the drop may be temporary.
🌲 Environment
Wildfires on state land have been over 80 percent human-caused, director Dustin Miller said during Tuesday's meeting with legislators at the state Capitol in Boise.
Over 10,000 acres burned through September with costs exceeding $47 million — lawmakers are considering tougher penalties to recoup funds.
